If you handle more than one Twitter account, it’s probably a good idea to look before you tweet. You don’t have to take my word for it. Ask the U.S. Department of Justice.
The DOJ is now answering some uncomfortable questions as to how tweet criticizing CNN went out on its official account. Early this morning, in response to a CNN story about Donald Trump’s response to plagiarism allegations regarding his wife Melania’s speech last night, the following tweet was sent:
“CNN is the biggest troll of them all lmao #petty”
In a statement, the DOJ says that the individual involved thought he/she was sending this message over a personal account.
In response to this incident, the Justice Department announced that it will be implementing new policies and training on social media use. It also announced that this person in question has lost all access to the Department’s social media accounts.
