It has been estimated that some 30% of NBA fans are women. Like any other group, they are not monolithic in their thinking but, one’s things clear: they are a big part of the revenue of the league. So, disrespecting one’s fans is never a good idea.
But, don’t take my word for it. Just ask Indiana Pacers star Paul George. He took to his Twitter account and shared the following “insights” on the Ray Rice situation:

Might I suggest that pro sports offer social media training for its athletes. Of course, this would occur after the sensitivity training class.
