School board member’s KKK post just tip of the iceberg? (NSFW)

Yesterday, I posted the story of Chris Harris, the Hooks Independent School District board member who made headlines over his posting of a KKK image, captioned “I’m dreaming of a White Christmas” to his Facebook account.  He apologized but, the school board is still set to decide on his status as a member in a little under 2 weeks from now.  Now, further revelations appear to indicate that this might have been the least racially-offensive of his recent posts.  If these are indeed Harris’ posts, he will be hard-pressed to convince anyone he should continue his career as a public servant.

According to  an article on Raw Story, the KKK image was part of a longer conversation about the recent unrest in Ferguson, MO. Chris Harris joined in the conversation and allegedly made a number of racially-charged comments, which included him relishing the idea of the Klan coming in to attack protestors.

Someone, presumably a local blogger in Texas, was able to capture screenshots of this conversation

Warning: the images and language used in the conversation may be shocking.

Since this incident, Chris Harris has deleted his Facebook account.  Raw Story has reached out to both Chris Harris and the local superintendent of schools regards this latest development.  More details on this story may be forthcoming.
